Bulega keeps it rolling on Sunday to lead Lecuona by four-tenths in Sunday’s Warm Up session in Hungary

The margin between the two factory Ducatis continues to shrink at the front

The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship’s final day of Balaton Park Circuit’s Motul Hungarian Round action hangs in the balance, as with one race down on Saturday, the lion’s share of Championship points will be dealt out today in the form of the Tissot Superpole Race and Race 2 later on. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) topped the morning’s proceedings at the top of the timesheet, on top of Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) and Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team)

Nicolo Bulega got a good night’s sleep by the looks as he maintains his headlock on P1 with the session’s best time of 1’38.215s . Iker Lecuona snagged P2 with 1’38.565s as time expired, and Sam Lowes chased the factory Ducatis back into the boxes just under six tenths behind the #11 in P1.

Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) was fourth-quickest on Sunday morning; he was the fastest among riders who timed in the 1’39’s with a 1’39.003. hot on the Barni Ducati’s tail, Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) and Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) took P5 and P6; Alex’s time of 1’39.262s was followed by Bassani five hundredths off the #22.

Alberto Surra (Motocorsa Racing) continued his emergent pace in Hungary. While he finished in P8, he rode in P2 in the early laps. The Italian youngster finished in P7 with a 1’39.392s time, outpacing 2026 podium finisher Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team GoEleven) and his 1’39.454s time. Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) and Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) brought up the rear of the top ten with times of 1’39.511s and 1’39.588s, respectively.
